St. Alphonsus

Born September 27, 1696  - - -   Died August 1, 1787

Alphonsus's father (Don Joseph de' Liguori) was a naval officer and Captain of the Royal Galleys.  His mother was of Spanish descent his father said of him as a young man; "when he once makes up his mind he is inflexible". St. Alphonsus was a moral theologian, which is not the common teaching of Catholic theologians.
