Three out of Ten University Students Graduate in Italy
From Italy-News.com

"There is a high university dropout rate which is costing the government seven and a half trillion lire," announced Education Minister Letizia Moratti.

The minister, interviewed via video-conferencing for the inauguration of the job-school orientation initiative currently in session in Verona, revealed that in the last 40 years only three million of the university system's ten million students have graduated.

What is happening currently? Is there an upward or downward trend?

Ms. Moratti also, announced that by the end of the year, every school in Italy will have internet access and by 2004 every student will have their OWN personal computer!
