Niebaum-Coppola New Red Wine Releases

We are pleased to announce the release of two new vintages in our Francis Coppola Diamond Series:
The 2000 Diamond Zinfandel and Diamond Syrah!

The 2000 Diamond Series Zinfandel has all of the personality and complexity that one would expect from a California Zinfandel. The aromas are dominated by inviting ripe, red currants with exotic spice overtones. The palate is soft, concentrated, and filled with luscious black currants. While the tannins are moderate, the supple texture upholds the core fruit and provides a lengthy finish to the wine. For a deep, intense color and mid-palate structure, we have blended in a small percentage of Petite Sirah. The 2000 Diamond Series Zinfandel can be enjoyed now and will cellar nicely over the next five years.

The 2000 Francis Coppola Diamond Series Syrah is deep, dark and rich in color. The Syrah is powerful and dramatic with expansive aromas ranging from concentrated, slightly jammy blackberry fruits to scents of white pepper, bound with sweet toasty oak. The palate is soft and supple with fleshy dense fruit, finishing with round luscious tannins. The Francis Coppola Diamond Series Syrah can be enjoyed now or may be cellared for three to five years.
