Little Italy: Philadelphia, Pennyslvania

Philadelphia (South Philly Section) has a waterfront off the Deleware River by Front, 20th, Washington and South Streets and is very noticeably a working class blue collar neighborhood.   Once a big importing port from nearly a hundred years ago, up until the last few years.   Made most famous from the Rocky Movies with Sylvester Stallone, restaurants, cafes and espresso bars are found just like in most Little Italy neighborhoods in the US.  The Italian Market is on 9th Street is mostly the heart of the neighborhood where you can find almost anything Italian.  Fresh produce, imported cheese, clothes and shoes are just a few of the many Italian products you will find here.   Autumn and Winter bring the wonderful aromas of roasted Italian chestnuts and other great foods from the local bakeries.
