The Food: White Bean
Bruscetta
INGREDIENTS
1 Can Cannelini Beans
Fresh Basil Leaves
2 Cloves of Garlic
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Red Pepper Flakes
Balsamic Vinegar
Salt & Pepper to Taste
This is a very simple but very delicious recipe
you can serve as an appetizer or at a summer picnic. Open your can
of beans, and drain the liquid they came in. Put in a bowl and fill
with cold water (as cold as the faucet can get it). Mix the beans around,
and drain the water. Repeat this step several times, and you can even
let the beans sit in the cold water and leave in the refrigerator to soak
to get the preservatives it was packed in off the beans.
In a bowl, put your beans, plenty of extra virgin
olive oil, chopped and/or thinly sliced garlic, and all the rest of the
ingredients (adjust to taste) mix together with a fork, do not worry about
crushing the beans, they will stay better on the toasted Italian bread if
they are unable to roll. Serve!
