The Food: Grilled
Garlic
INGREDIENTS
Tin Foil
Cloves of Garlic, Skins on
This can be used in sauces
(aglio olio) or as an appetizer to spread on
crusty Italian bread, crackers, or can even be eaten alone.
If you do not have a grill, you can easily do this
on the stove top if you have Gas stove. Simply put the grill grate
over the burner to roast this garlic. Take some tin foil, and split
apart the cloves of garlic, leaving the skins on, and place in the tin foil,
seal it up to make a pocket and put it on the grill, about 5 minutes each
side (probably less if its a charcoal or gas grill). Once you open
the tin foil and peel off the skin of the garlic, the garlic should be so
soft, you can spread it.
