Strawberries & Balsamic Vinegar

Fragolina, that is Italian for Strawberry.   This recipe it's not so crazy as it sounds, its actually very refreshing in the summer, especially at a picnic.  Simply slice a batch of strawberries in half from top to bottom.  In a glass bowl put in the strawberries first, then sprinkle generously with sugar, then balsamic vinegar (it must be balsamic vinegar).  Take some cracked pepper and sprinkle lightly to bring out the flavor.  Allow to marinate for at least an hour.  Trust me, you will like this so much, you will want to save the leftover liquid and use for a salad dressing or even use in a food recipe.  You can even add chopped mint leaves if you wish.
