The Food: Clams Casino

INGREDIENTS
Little Neck Clams
Flavored Bread Crumbs
Bacon
Clam Juice
White Wine
1/2 Chopped Tomato

I am not sure how this got its start, but as you can see there are a few American ingredients you will see here, the Italians that came over from Europe made the most of the ingredients they had on hand.

Top clams with parsley, sweet roasted pepper and a small piece of bacon, drop of butter on top, drizzle with olive oil, pourin clam juice, good white wine, more parsley, 450F for 10-15 minutes, pour juice from pan over clamse to serve, serve with lemon wedges.
