The American Italian Cultural Roundtable will sponsor their fourth cultural event of the 2001-2002 season on Saturday afternoon February 9, 2002. Noted translator and poet, Michael Palma will read from his translation of Dante's Inferno and from his newly published volume of poetry titled A Fortune in Gold. Published by Gradiva in 2000, A Fortune in Gold is the first full-length collection of poetry by Michael Palma, the translator of award-winning volumes of Guido Gozzano, Diego Valeri, and other modern Italian poets.
